The semester ended last week, and I figured I’d give a treat to my ever patient Zutara fans.

This actually came from reading “The Gentleman’s Alliance Cross” by Arina Tanemura when the song “Come to my Window” by Melissa Etheridge came on. It was originally going to be called “Come to my Window”, but as I was working on it I started listening to the musical “Once on this Island” and … yeah. If anyone knows the play or this song, I’m sure you can figure out why it made me think of Zutara like the little dork I am. *

ANYWAY I don’t know when I’m doing another Zutara fanart (not counting the comic… ), so I figured I should attach this song to this now, before I forget!

I used a lot of texture as an experiment and loved how it was working, so I didn’t look back. Since I was already experimenting with a different way of drawing (bodies, hair, etc- inspired loosely by Tanemura’s work), I played with different coloring and valuing too. Basically, this entire thing is just me playing around and being a dork.
