California's Supreme Court voted that our constitution allows and protects same-sex marriages. And when a conservative group tried to halt the ruling, saying the people needed to vote about whether they want to ammend the consitution to ban these marriages. They were over-ruled, in favor of a vote in November (with all the rest of the voting. XD). And so, on I think Tuesday, homosexuals in California were finally allowed to be legally married. If I had known in advance, I'd have been there to throw rice.
Apparently, in the city I live in, the only protest was a lone family across the street from the courthouse with signs. And, as the newspaper put it, there was no line of straight couples complaining that their marriages now didn't mean the same thing.
I'm thrilled for these people personally. I am now fully motivated to register so that I can help protect their right to marry their partners.
For those who are anti-gay marraige or anything along the lines, I don't really want to hear it. I just wanted to express my joy for these people.

But thank God California finally stopped being dumb. FFS, they're the most liberal state EVER.
