Anyone ever feel like their art is in some weird middle zone?
Like I grew up emulating anime/manga styles and aesthetics and that's still where my heart's at, but as I've tried to improve in things like physique and diversifying designs.. I dunno.. I feel like I've moved into some weird anime/western hybrid. And it's strangely frustrating. Cuz like.. while I enjoy the idea of having a unique style (not that I have one yet), I think my art isn't realistic and badass enough to be "cool" but sure as hell is too far away from being "cute" anymore. Anyone have a portable drawing tablet that they have lots of insight on? Folks who swear by the Surface Pro or can't live without their Cintiq Companion? I want to be able to draw at work but need some real artist feedback first cuz technology is intimidating lol
